I’ve worked on many websites in both English and Spanish over the years. Beyond writing and annotating manuscripts, I’ve collaborated with UX and art teams to hone my skills in content strategy, audience segmentation, SEO keywords, and more. Check out some of the sites I’ve worked on across this page.
Know More Sooner is a family planning resource from Myriad Genetics. While the original patient site helped parents-to-be learn about prenatal genetic testing, I wrote the healthcare provider site while at S50.
I encouraged providers to consider prenatal screening options from Myriad Genetics by:
Writing all pages of the microsite
Highlighting key data about what sets Myriad’s testing apart from other prenatal screens
Adapting 12+ clinical studies into accessible language and graphics for clinicians and doctors alike
Annotating and referencing claims made across the site
Incorporating client and regulatory feedback
Book bans are preventing incarcerated people from accessing health education. My previous agency, Patients & Purpose, partnered with activists at The Claremont Project to create a women’s health textbook called Contrabanned.
My contributions were:
Advocating for and writing a “Know Your Rights” statement
Creating chapters about sexuality & gender, mental health, and cancer (download them here, or donate to the Prison Library Project for the entire book)
Reviewing the 100+ page book with the editorial team to ensure language was both accessible for a 4th-grade reading level and
gender-inclusiveWriting the manuscript for the awards website
Contrabanned was Shortlisted for a Cannes Lion and recognized as Best Work for Good at the AdAge Creativity Awards.
SansPeriod is a typeface that hides period education in punctuation. It was designed to secretly share facts about menstruation after Florida passed the “Don’t Say Period” law to ban sex education in public schools before the 9th grade.
I contributed by:
Writing the educational content in each of the periods that make up SansPeriod
Creating a TikTok explaining how the font works inspired by GRWM videos (punchline: how can you get ready without education?)
Developing publicity concepts with creatives at Patients & Purpose and activists at The Period Movement
SansPeriod was downloaded over 100,000 times and received honors from Webby Awards in the Responsible Innovation category.
Optune Lua is a wearable, FDA-approved device used together with chemotherapy and immunotherapy for adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
I helped the Optune Lua team with the site before launch by:
Developing the website manuscript by incorporating approved messaging from other assets
Collaborating with the UX and XD teams to make updates to the site map based on content changes
Taking part in regulatory reviews and revising website copy accordingly
Training junior copywriters on fact-checking and revising their annotations
Writing metadata and alt text for the site
RID is a consumer healthcare brand that specializes in over-the-counter lice treatments. S50 was tasked with improving their website’s content strategy and creating new pages, which I supported by:
Applying SEO insights to develop the “Lice lessons” blog
Writing all of the “Lice lessons” blog posts
Updating the secondary messaging—from creating a new homepage to making subpages more consumer-friendly
Creating new product pages
